Holly Revel-Hough, MSW, LISW-S

Holly Revel-Hough works with clients between the ages of 6 through adulthood. Holly is a graduate of the University of Michigan School of Social Work and currently holds an Independent Social Worker license (LISW-S) in the state of Ohio. While at U of M, Holly worked closely with a professor who specialized in adoption issues. Holly is currently pursuing her social worker supervision designation and plans to pursue her Ph.D. in clinical psychology.

Holly comes from a background in community mental health, working with a wide range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, grief, schizophrenia, ADHD, and trauma. She also has training and experience in individual, family, and group therapy. Holly has specialized training/experience in trauma/PTSD, intergenerational trauma, adoption issues, parenting issues, and fetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASD). She is passionate about helping individuals and families address root causes for mental health symptoms to find healing and hope.

Holly has taken on several speaking engagements regarding trauma, secondary trauma, institutionalization, FASD, and adoption issues. Her passion for adoption issues led her to publish a comprehensive literature review from the perspective of internationally adopted persons in the Journal of Human Behavior in the Social Environment.
Prior to entering the mental health field, Holly was a small business owner in upstate New York. In addition to her social work training, she also holds a degree from Spring Arbor University in Management and Organizational Development. Holly is married with four children, including one internationally adopted child. Holly has personal experience with adoption and parenting a child with developmental delays and post-traumatic symptomatology.
